Method
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Butter and flour a 10 cup Bundt pan, and set aside.
Cake Batter
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the oil, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add in the eggs and mix to combine.
- Add the vanilla and cardamom and mix to combine.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix to combine.
- Add the chopped and peeled apples and mix to combine.
- Scoop into the prepared Bundt pan and spread until evenly distributed.
- Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until a toothpick or skewer comes out clean.
- Cool completely before turning out of the pan.
Glaze
- Whisk all ingredients together. This will be a very thick icing.
- Use a spoon or piping bag to top the cake.
